Dear Abdul,
I am writing to inform you that I will soon be going to Europe and will not be returning until March 5th, 2014. Since I have known you, I have always been impressed with three qualities you present. These qualities are smart decision making, good attitude, and strong determination.
Your good decision making has brought you much success and it is continuing to pave the path to your future. For example, getting good grades and performing well academically has made you a recognized student. As long as you continue your good decision making skills, you will continue to see success.
Your good attitude is one of the best features of you personality. It has brought you many good friends. Since you are a nice person, you have developed good communication with others. Your good attitude will continue to help you in the future, wherever you may go.
Lastly, your determination has brought you were you are today. You are always determined to be the best and you will not stop until you have achieved your goal. Everyday is a challenge and you always embrace the challenge. This is what I want you to remember, even after I am gone.
Sincerely,
Daham

Inspiration
There are many people
who inspire me. If I had to pick who inspires me the most, I would have to say
my dad is the person who inspires me the most. y dad inspires me for several
reasons. One reason he inspires me is due to his leadership quality. He is always
giving advice to me when I ask for it. He also makes smart choices that
influence his future in a beneficial way. Another reason why my dad inspires me
is he always pushes me to be my best. For example, I know he may push me to do
my homework or study, but I know I will thank him in the future. Without him
pushing me, I do not think I will be motivated. A third reason why my dad
inspires me is his determination to never give up. He is always pushing to
achieve a task or goal, even when the situation begins to get difficult. These
are the reason my dad inspires me.

If I could live anywhere
There are many unique places in the world to live in. If I
could live anywhere in the world, I would live in California. There are several reasons why I would want to
live in California. One reason is because of the weather. Most of the year,
California experiences nice weather. The weather is usually is hot in the
summer and with nicer weather, I could do many more activities.
A second reason why I
would like to live in California is because of the active community. There are
so many activities to do because most people in the community are always doing
something outside of their homes. This also refers back to my first reason.
Since the weather is always nice, I would be able to do many activities. An
example of how weather would affect the activities I could do is that because
it is sunny most of the year, I could go swimming and play basketball, even in
the cooler months.
A third reason why I
would want to live in California is because of the job opportunities. If I were
in California, I feel the pay would be greater, then if I were to have a job in
Ohio. What I mean is that the same job in California could pay more than the
same job in Ohio. Not only this, but I also believe the job opportunities would
be greater in California then in Ohio. These are three reasons why I would want
to live in California.

What if money were no object?
This project was very interesting. It showed me that everyone had their own ideas on what they would do if money were no object. Some told how they would improve society and others told what they would do in their in own life. Every idea was very creative. This project required a lot of thought because I, along with others, had to think really hard about what would we do if money were no object. Overall, I really enjoyed doing this project because it showed how every person had a creative idea on what they would do if money were no object.

If I did not have electricity
There are many things I would miss if I did not have electricity. The main thing I would miss is the
Internet for several reasons. One reason why I would miss the Internet is it is
very important to me because it helps me finish many of my tasks. For example,
I would not be able to check my grades for school because I would need the
Internet in order to achieve this task. Another reason I would need the
Internet is because I usually watch many episodes to different television shows
on the Internet. I would also use it to
watch sports such as basketball or football that do not always air all the
games for a certain day on television. For example, I like the Pittsburgh Steelers
and there games do not always appear on television, so I have to watch them on the Internet. A
third reason I Luke the Internet is because of all the vast knowledge it
provides on many different subjects. There are many different subject it lets
me explore, such as Math, Science, and History! I can learn many things on
these subjects every day because of the Internet. These are three reasons why I
would miss the Internet most, if I did not have electricity.

My favorite book
My favorite book is "Payback Time" by Carl Decker. This is my favorite book because it shares a story of a boy who must overcome challenges to meet his goals. An example of this is when the main character, Daniel True, is told to become the reporter for the sports section of the school newspaper, but he does not like the position. At first he complains to the lead editor. He then comes to realize that he must accept the position in order for him to continue working in the school reporting industry. His first assignment is to cover the school football team. He still does not like doing this topic, but learns to accept it. This shows me the resilience he had to do the job, even though he did not want to. The lesson the story teaches is that I should not give up on doing on doing what I like because I am in a situation I do not like.

Robert Frost Essay
What if money were no object? This idea is supported by the poem, “After Apple Picking”, by Robert Frost. Through the use of imagery, Frost conveys a message that people should live life doing something that they love.
Frost use’s examples of imagery throughout his poem to share his message that people should live life doing something they love. Frost says, “Of apple-picking: I am tired” (L.28). What is significant about this quote is that Frost is expressing that he is tired because he has been picking apples for such a long time. This is telling me that he would have lived life doing what he loved, rather than picking apples. This relates to his message of people living life doing something they love.
Frost states other examples throughout his poem to express his feelings of pain and exhaustion. Frost states, “My instep arch not only keeps the ache” (L.21). The significance of this quote is that Frost is trying to say that all the apple picking has affected his body negatively and he regrets the apple-picking. This would also relate to his message of people living life doing something they love.
Through the use of imagery, Frost conveys a message of people living life doing something they love. This poem has helped me reflect on what I would do if money were no object. If money were no object, I would illegalize smoking. I like to help people and doing this kind of action in the world would make the world a better place. This also relates to Frost's message because his message is that people should live doing something they love. Illegalize smoking is an issue that I would like to stop from occurring in this world. This is why Frost’s poem had an influence on my decision on what I would do if money were no object.

A Difference in my Life
There are many things we wish we can go back and fix, but unfortunately
we cannot go back. Something I wish I could change in my life is the study
habits I had in the ninth grade. Specifically, I would want to change how long
I studied for my Biology Test’s. When I did not study hard enough for these
tests, I would not receive a good grade. This often would affect my grade and
it would take me a long period of time before I can get my grade back to where
it was.
My study habits affected me. When I did not get a good grade
on a Biology Test, I would always think back to how hard I studied. If I knew I
did not study very hard, I felt if I was going to do badly on the test. These
were often the results when I did not study hard. This was not a great
experience for me, but I learned that nothing comes without hard work and that
you should learn from your mistakes.

My Favorite Hobby
My favorite hobby is playing basketball. This is my favorite hobby because it is something that I turn to when I have nothing else to do. I do have other things to keep me occupied in my free time, but this would be my first option to turn to. What I like most about basketball is that it is a game of strategy. For example, if I were going to play a certain team in basketball, I would watch video of the team in order to learn their style of play. I then can formulate a game plan in order for me to possibly beat them. What is another great feature of basketball is that it is a team game. This game requires everyone on the team to put effort in order to be successful. Everyone on the team brings something different they can offer to help the team be successful. A third thing I like about basketball is that it is a game where you can always improve. If I think I am an average free throw shooter and could use improvement on my jump shot, then I know that I can improve if I work hard enough. These are some reasons why basketball is my favorite hobby.

My Favorite Music
I do not have any specific types of music I like. I listen to music mainly on the Q104.1 Radio Station. They have diverse kinds of music from many different artists. This radio station plays music that is current or has just been recently released. Some examples of this would be the song, "Starships", by the music artist known as Nicki Minaj. There are other artists that play on the radio station, such as Eminem. What is a unique feature of this radio station is that many songs that are played are popular and very well known by many people.
I generally listen to anything that is playing. I do not have any specific or favorite kinds of music I like. I usually like most of the music that is playing. What I like most about the radio station is that the music is diverse and they sometimes ask people what song they would want to listen to. I think it is a very creative aspect of the radio station and that is why I like Q104.1

Providing free daycare
I believe the Government should provide free day care services to working parents. I believe this because some issues may arise if you are working with a babysitter. One issue that may arise is the location of the child during the hours he is with the babysitter. Sometimes the babysitter will realize that the home of the child is too far away from where he/she lives, causing the parents to come with a plan that will provide the child with a place to be during the babysitting hours. The babysitter will most likely charge, if she is asked to come in. A daycare is in one location and you want have any worries about the gas prices because you will now how much you travel each day to the daycare.
Another issue that may arise is the salary of the babysitter. The babysitter may eventually ask for more money after a long time period of service. Sometimes the change in salary effects the parents plans to pay for other utilities they need. This could result in the parents firing the babysitter and they have to go through the headache of finding a brand new babysitter. With a daycare, they do not have to worry about the salary plan because it is usually given by the day care service. These are some reasons on why I think free day care should be provided.

Something I value
One thing I value is grades. Grades are important to me because they help me determine important factors that will influence my future. An example of this would be determining what college I would want to go to. If I were to receive low grades, such as D's or F's, throughout high school and go to apply for a university such as Ohio State, my chances would not be very good. If I were to get A's, my chances of being enrolled would be very good.
Grades can also influence your GPA.The GPA is the average grade I would receive after determining the average of all my grades I had for each individual class. What is important about the GPA is that it is one of the major factors that colleges take into consideration to determine if someone was going to be enrolled into a college. It is important for me to continue to get good grades because the higher GPA I have, the better the college I can get into.
A third thing I believe grades can influence is your viewpoint on school. For example, If I were to receive grades such as C's or D's on many of my assignments, I would probably think that I should not even try because I know the outcome will not be great. In another perspective, if I were to get A's or B's on many of my assignments, I would think that I can really accomplish something if I keep working hard to improve upon what I already have.

What I did this summer
Best Summer Activity
One of the best things I did this Summer was go go kart racing. My family and I went to Sandusky to perform this activity. The weather was good that day, so we all decided to go. When we arrived, we had to choose the track we wanted to ride on. There was a junior track and an adult track. We went with the adult track which was bigger then the junior track and had more laps then the junior track. We each got into a go kart and what was interesting about them was that each go kart represented a different company, such as Pepsi or McDonald's, like NASCAR.
Everyone's place in the race differed throughout. For example, I would be in first and sometimes I would be in third while my brother was in first. On the final lap, I took a bad turn and ended up crashing into one of the walls on the track. Even though I didn't come in first, I still had a good experience. This is why go kart racing was one of my favorite Summer activities.

My name is very unique. In fact, it is usually found in the Middle East. This is where the name originated. The name itself is like the Eurasian plant, "Sweet Clover."They are both similar in the fact that neither one originated in the United States, but they were later introduced.
The pronunciation for my name can be kind of tricky. The part that makes people mispronounce my name is the fourth letter in my name, which happens to be the letter "A." The "A" is pronounced as a short "A", rather then a long one. It is like when someone shouts "Ahhh" in a movie because the pronunciation for both of them is the same. Even though sometimes my name can be mispronounced, I am not that kind of person that becomes doleful if such a thing were to happen. I rather teach them to say it, then become mad.
My name was given to me because my parents wanted me to be named after my grandfather. My dad was imbued by all the positive influence his dad had on him growing up, so he decided to name me after him.The translation for my name is "Lion." The number one reason why I like my name is it helps me become more known in a group or community of people.

My Number One Rule: Goal Setting
My Number One Rule
My number one rule is to meet the goals that you have set for yourself. My reasoning behind why this is my number one rule is that if you are able to meet certain goals you have set for yourself, your future will hold many more opportunities. Your goals will also be your guide to help you determine what steps need to be taken to achieve the future you've always wanted.
Goals can be compared to other things that we use in our life, such as a blueprint. A blueprint tells you were certain pieces must go in order to assemble one final creation. Goals are similar. They show what steps need to be are necessary to achieve that final goal. Another example is the game of Jenga. The objective of the game is to remove each game piece from the original structure of a tower assembled completely from wooden blocks. If you make the wrong move, the tower comes down. Goals also are similar to this game. If you affect the foundation of goals you have made for yourself, your ultimate goal might not be achieved.
Keeping the foundation of goals is very important. Even if one goal of yours is affected, your whole plan might go wrong. If this happens, your final result might be failure. Jeoparding your goals in any kind form will most likley lead to failure. An example would be hanging out your friends, instead of doing homework. This is not helping you, it only sets you back. That is why keeping a solid foundation and avoiding situations that lead to failure is important.
In my opinion, goals are very important to your everyday life. Whether it's getting up for school or doing your homework, each goal plays a major part in your life. Sometimes goals run the way you do things. An example is knowing you will do something rather then just saying it. "I will do my homework when I get home and I won't let anything distract me", is just saying it. writing it out and avoiding procrastanation are steps you are taking in order for you to complete your task or goal. I think goals can lead you to success or be your biggest downfall. If you follow them, success is most likley the resuly, if you don't, failure could result. this is why I think goals are important
