Providing free daycare

I believe the Government should provide free day care services to working parents. I believe this because  some issues may arise if you are working with a babysitter. One issue that may arise is the location of the child during the hours he is with the babysitter. Sometimes the babysitter will realize that the home of the child is too far away from where he/she lives, causing the parents to come with a plan that will provide the child with a place to be during the babysitting hours. The babysitter will most likely charge, if she is asked to come in. A daycare is in one location and you want have any worries about the gas prices because you will now how much you travel each day to the daycare.

Another issue that may arise is the salary of the babysitter. The babysitter may eventually ask for more money after a long time period of service. Sometimes the change in salary effects the parents plans to pay for other utilities they need. This could result in the parents firing the babysitter and they have to go through the headache of finding a brand new babysitter. With a daycare, they do not have to worry about the salary plan because it is usually given by the day care service. These are some reasons on why I think free day care should be provided.

Something I value

One thing I value is grades. Grades are important to me because they help me determine important factors that will influence my future. An example of this would be determining what college I would want to go to. If I were to receive low grades, such as D's or F's, throughout high school and go to apply for a university such as Ohio State, my chances would not be very good. If I were to get A's, my chances of being enrolled would be very good.

Grades can also influence your GPA.The GPA is the average grade I would receive after determining the average of all my grades I had for each individual class. What is important about the GPA is that it is one of the major factors that colleges take into consideration to determine if someone was going to be enrolled into a college. It is important for me to continue to get good grades because the higher GPA I have, the better the college I can get into.

A third thing I believe grades can influence is your viewpoint on school. For example, If I were to receive grades such as C's or D's on many of my assignments, I would probably think that I should not even try because I know the outcome will not be great. In another perspective, if I were to get A's or B's on many of my assignments, I would think that I can really accomplish something if I keep working hard to improve upon what I already have.

What I did this summer

                                                             Best Summer Activity
One of the best things I did this Summer was go go kart racing. My family and I went to Sandusky to perform this activity. The weather was good that day, so we all decided to go. When we arrived, we had to choose the track we wanted to ride on. There was a junior track and an adult track. We went with the adult track which was bigger then the junior track and had more laps then the junior track. We each got into a go kart and what was interesting about them was that each go kart represented a different company, such as Pepsi or McDonald's, like NASCAR.

Everyone's place in the race differed throughout. For example, I would be in first and sometimes I would be in third while my brother was in first. On the final lap, I took a bad turn and ended up crashing into one of the walls on the track. Even though I didn't come in first, I still had a good experience. This is why go kart racing was one of my favorite Summer activities.

Daham

                                                                             Daham

My name is very unique. In fact, it is usually found in the Middle East. This is where the name originated. The name itself is like the Eurasian plant, "Sweet Clover."They are both similar in the fact that neither one originated in the United States, but they were later introduced.

The pronunciation for my name can be kind of tricky. The part that makes people mispronounce my name is the fourth letter in my name, which happens to be the letter "A." The "A" is pronounced as a short "A", rather then a long one. It is like when someone shouts "Ahhh" in a movie because the pronunciation for both of them is the same. Even though sometimes my name can be mispronounced, I am not that kind of person that becomes doleful if such a thing were to happen. I rather teach them to say it, then become mad.

My name was given to me because my parents wanted me to be named after my grandfather. My dad was imbued by all the positive influence his dad had on him growing up, so he decided to name me after him.The translation for my name is "Lion." The number one reason why I like my name is it helps me become more known in a group or community of people.

My Number One Rule: Goal Setting

                                                                     My Number One Rule

My number one rule is to meet the goals that you have set for yourself. My reasoning behind why this is my number one rule is that if you are able to meet certain goals you have set for yourself, your future will hold many more opportunities. Your goals will also be your guide to help you determine what steps need to be taken to achieve the future you've always wanted.

Goals can be compared to other things that we use in our life, such as a blueprint. A blueprint tells you were certain pieces must go in order to assemble one final creation. Goals are similar. They show what steps need to be are necessary to achieve that final goal. Another example is the game of Jenga. The objective of the game is to remove each game piece from the original structure of a tower assembled completely from wooden blocks. If you make the wrong move, the tower comes down. Goals also are similar to this game. If you affect the foundation of goals you have made for yourself, your ultimate goal might not be achieved.

Keeping the foundation of goals is very important. Even if one goal of yours is affected, your whole plan might go wrong. If this happens, your final result might be failure. Jeoparding your goals in any kind form will most likley lead to failure. An example would be hanging out your friends, instead of doing homework. This is not helping you, it only sets you back. That is why keeping a solid foundation and avoiding situations that lead to failure is important.

In my opinion, goals are very important to your everyday life. Whether it's getting up for school or doing your homework, each goal plays a major part in your life. Sometimes goals run the way you do things. An example is knowing you will do something rather then just saying it. "I will do my homework when I get home and I won't let anything distract me", is just saying it. writing it out and avoiding procrastanation are steps you are taking in order for you to complete your task or goal. I think goals can lead you to success or be your biggest downfall. If you follow them, success is most likley the resuly, if you don't, failure could result. this is why I think goals are important
