In some difficult situations, some people may not know what to do, especially if they have done an action that they are not proud of. The question that many people have a hard time answering in this kind of situation is whether they should tell the truth or just lie about whatever they have done. If I was put in this situation, I would have to tell the truth. The biggest reason for why I would have to tell the truth is because when I do not tell the truth, I begin to feel guilt. The longer I wait to tell the truth, the more guilt that begins to build upon me. I think it does not happen just in my situation. I believe it happens too most people if they were put in a situation where they knew they or someone has done something and they do not tell the truth. An example of this is if someone dropped ten dollars on the floor and they continued walking without knowing that they dropped the money, I would pick it up and give it back to them. I would have to give it back to them because if I did not and kept the money, I would feel very guilty because I have done an action that I am not proud of. Another example of this would be if I saw a friend take an item from someone and the person did not know about it, then I would have to tell the truth because if I did not, then I would begin to feel very guilty for not reporting the action to someone.

I think you bring up a great point to talk about guilt and how that makes people feel.
